For many people struggling with chronic illness, the path to better health can feel confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming.

But what if one of the most powerful tools for healing wasn't found in a pharmacy…

but in your kitchen?

This belief is at the center of Dr. Irina Rozenfeld’s work.

Where Medicine Meets the Kitchen

Dr. Irina Rozenfeld is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, board-certified Nurse Practitioner, and Assistant Professor at the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine, where she focuses on integrating advanced clinical care with a whole-person approach to health.

With nearly two decades of clinical and research experience, her work supports patients navigating complex chronic conditions through evidence-based strategies that address the body as an interconnected system.

Her clinical and research interests include:

• Neuroinflammation
• Immune dysregulation
• Environmental influences on health
• Detoxification pathways
• Targeted nutrition in chronic illness

Dr. Rozenfeld holds a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Florida.

Her work sits at the intersection of science, nutrition, and practical lifestyle medicine.

Through her work with patients and research communities, Dr. Rozenfeld has repeatedly observed that many chronic health conditions are influenced not only by medical treatment, but also by daily lifestyle decisions — particularly what we eat and how we prepare our food.

This realization led her to deepen her work in Culinary Medicine, a field that combines medical science with the practical art of cooking. Rather than viewing nutrition as a set of restrictive rules, culinary medicine focuses on empowering people with the knowledge and tools to prepare food that supports health, energy, and long-term well-being.

Dr. Rozenfeld is passionate about helping people understand that food choices and cooking methods can meaningfully influence health outcomes, and that evidence-based lifestyle strategies can complement conventional medical care.

Why Culinary Medicine Matters

From Research to the Kitchen

This platform was created to share insights at the intersection of medicine, nutrition, and everyday cooking.

Here you can explore research and perspectives on culinary medicine, participate in workshops and educational experiences, and discover modern tools that help simplify healthy meal preparation. By combining science, culinary knowledge, and technology, Dr. Rozenfeld aims to help people translate medical understanding into practical habits that support long-term health.

Because when knowledge meets daily action, the kitchen truly becomes an extension of the clinic.
